Tiny Tellers — Last updated October 12, 2026

The short version: your stories stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We don't have a server and can't see them. The only time anything reaches us or our partners is when you order a printed book.

Tiny Tellers is an iPhone app, made by EssentialX, that records the stories a child tells and turns them into picture books. It's made for parents and family, not for children to use on their own. This page explains what happens to the things you put in it.

Your stories stay yours

Recordings, the words of each story, pictures, your child's name, birthday and photo, and everything else you add are stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud. We can't read any of it.

The original recording of a story is never changed or deleted by the app.

Only Apple's AI

Sharing with family

If you share a child with family, Apple's iCloud sends that child's stories to the people you invite, and they can record and edit too. You can remove people or stop sharing at any time. Shared stories count against your iCloud storage.

Printed books

When you order a printed book, these are sent off your iPhone:

We use this only to print, ship and support your order, including replacing a damaged book. We keep order records as long as we need them for that and for our tax and accounting records. To have an order's book files deleted, email us.

Stripe's and Lulu's own privacy policies cover what they do with this information: stripe.com/privacy and lulu.com/privacy-policy.

Subscriptions

Tiny Tellers Pro is bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether you're subscribed. We don't receive your payment details.

No ads, no tracking

Tiny Tellers has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't sell or share your information, and we don't use it to build profiles or for advertising.

Children

Tiny Tellers is used by parents and family to keep their child's stories. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children. A child's name, stories and pictures leave your iPhone only if a parent orders a printed book, as described above.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings › Manage your data › Delete all my data removes everything from your iPhone and your iCloud. You can also delete a single child's stories from that child's settings. For order information we hold, email us and we'll delete what we aren't required to keep.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions or requests: contact@essentialx.us.
